Role: As the only design intern within the General Mills campaign I was able to dip my toes into many needs from conceptualization, art direction, user experience, graphics (posters, OOH, deck design, e.t.c), and 3D design. This led to delivering a successful creative strategy to our client that would be developed in the year 2023.

Overview: I worked on multiple projects and clients from META, Vans, Instagram, and Smirnoff whilst leading my epic intern team as the creative lead in our intern project with General Mills. Through the experience I learned about the importance of detail and intentional design.

META

One of the first projects I had to opportunity to work on was Meta’s Oculus Christmas campaign.  Many mood boards were created and I was able to present my own ideas to the team! Though the push for META took many many iterations, the super duper talented design team were able to push out a myriad of concepts and designs (NDA)!

Within the gallery you will find different iterations and directions of META work from socials to OOH to initial concepts.

VANS

He was a boy. She was a girl. Can I make it any more obvious?

One of my favorite projects to work with was Vans, with such a distinct visual language and style I was so excited to create work for them.

I had the opportunity to pitch ideas, which meant mood boards and rummaging through Pinterest and Behance. Through many meetings the finalized idea of “Stay Out There” was carried over into OOH, UI, and social graphics. During the project I learned a lot about attention to detail and being able to communicate your work to others so that everything you present and design has to have an intention.

SMIRNOFF

Interns stick together! When the strategy intern approached me asking if I could help her in creating the deck for the strategy team, I was instantly ready to help. Using colourful playful and organic elements, I created the template that would be presented to the client.

GENERAL MILLS

My work for General Mills was the highlight of my internship! The interns of Anomaly LA came together to create a successful campaign from strategy, to OOH, and activations. We presented to both the higher ups of Anomaly and the client themselves! This project is under NDA.

The process echoed the UX process of research, strategy, building, and refinement. As the only intern with design skills, I took on the title of Creative Lead and worked everything design and activations. Want to know and see more?
